Frequently Asked Questions
Which college teams have Bears scouts visited more than once during the 2026 scouting season?
Bears scouts and executives have been spotted attending games involving Notre Dame and Miami more than once each during the 2026 scouting season. Independent scout John Vogel identified both programs as schools that have drawn repeated attention from Chicago's personnel staff.
How many top prospects from Notre Dame and Miami are projected as early-round picks in the 2027 NFL Draft?
Between Miami and Notre Dame, no fewer than 8 players are currently graded as 1st, 2nd, or 3rd round picks in the 2027 draft. Four of those prospects are defensive linemen.
Why are the Bears focusing so heavily on defensive players in their 2027 draft scouting?
The Bears have struggled to find a genuine difference-maker on defense and have spent years using 1st round picks on offensive players. With the 2027 class considered strong along the defensive front, Poles appears ready to shift focus and bolster that side of the ball.
Which specific players from Miami and Notre Dame should Bears fans watch heading into the 2027 draft?
From Miami, keep an eye on Damon Wilson, Justin Scott, and Ahmad Moten Sr. Notre Dame linebacker Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa is also a name to watch, especially given Chicago's need for an impact player at that position.
Who did the Bears select with the 25th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft?
The Bears selected Dillon Thieneman with the 25th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
